20th BMH Health Fair set for Sept. 24

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Memorial Hospital will hold its 20th annual Health Fair in the hospital parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 24.

The health fair theme has been “Launch into Motion” for five years running and features ways to get and stay healthy with activities, exercises and healthy foods. Groups from the community as well as the hospital will provide practical information and demonstrations.

Some of the activities will include free blood pressure, bone density and breathing tests, vouchers for free blood tests and stage demonstrations of fun ways to stay active.

For kids there will be the Vermont Army National Guard Obstacle Course, a teddy bear clinic, face painting, Cheryl the Clown, Just So Pediatrics, jump roping by the Jumping Geckos, and a grand prize drawing for a brand new bicycle.

The Maple View Cafe' will be selling food and WTSA radio will be broadcasting from the fair. For more information, visit www.bmhvt.org.
