RE: Karl Meyer's Viewpoint [“Failed salmon program doesn't deserve new life,” Oct. 12].
The effort to bring back the salmon was but a six-generation attempt of serious restoration. That is much too short a period of time.
The herring run also needs an answer that has a bearing on the poor salmon returns.
