Megawatts don't add up

GRAFTON — RE: “Bipartisan support for a 'pause?'” [Town & Village, March 6]:

There are several important corrections that need to be made with respect to my comments. Most important: For New England to achieve 20 percent of our energy coming from wind power, we need to build 9,000 MW.

Today, New England has around 700 MW installed. Onshore wind power is twice as, and in some cases three times more, expensive than conventional sources.
