Mondo Mediaworks launches community crowdfunder project

BRATTLEBORO — Mondo Mediaworks, a downtown marketing agency specializing in content development, is launching a program aimed at providing marketing services for a worthy fundraising project that benefits the southeastern Vermont community or the arts.

On offer are a professionally produced video to use for a Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or similar crowdfunding campaign, a press release created and distributed to publicize a project, and marketing consultation to help the client meet its fundraising goal.

To be considered, applicants must be a small business, non-profit or entrepreneur with limited marketing resources; be based in Vermont within 50 miles of Brattleboro; have a clear purpose, fundraising goal, benefit, and plan of action; and seek to benefit community development or the arts in southern Vermont.

Applications are accepted through July 15 on Mondo's website, www.mondomediaworks.com/crowdfund.

The company said in a press statement that its employees created this project out of a desire to contribute to community development. They said they regularly receive requests from individuals and fledgling organizations lacking the marketing budget for the video component that can be essential for a successful online crowdfunding appeal.
