BELLOWS FALLS — This year, an estimated 13 million American children will be bullied at school, online, on the bus, at home, through their cell phones, and on the streets of their towns, making it the most common form of violence young people in this country experience.
Several community organizations have come together to present a program to raise awareness about bullying. On Thursday, Oct. 24, at 6 p.m., there will be a screening and discussion of the documentary “Bully” at the Rockingham Free Public Library.
Refreshments will be provided.
“Bully” shows the human side to this startling statistic. Offering an intimate, unflinching look at how bullying has touched five kids and their families, it is the first feature documentary film to show how we've all been affected by bullying, whether we've been a victim, perpetrator, or silent witness.
This film is rated PG-13, and parents with children under 12 should know that this film contains disturbing images, language, and other content.
This program is presented to the public for free by the Bellows Falls Police Department, Early Education Services, Greater Falls Connections, Health Care & Rehabilitation Services of Vermont, Rockingham Free Public Library, and the Vermont Family Network.
