Two vie for Selectboard position

GRAFTON — Two candidates are in the running to be named to the Selectboard in a vote that takes place Wednesday, May 28.

Voters will decide whether Kirk Douglas Goodwin or J. Gus Plummer will fill the remainder of the 2014 term of Bill Kearns, who resigned in April.

David Ross is the only candidate named on the ballot to fill the term for moderator.

The election is technically a Special Town Meeting, with voting by Australian ballot taking place at the Town Hall between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m.

The Grafton News will publish a special edition with candidate statements, according to the town newsletter's Facebook page (bit.ly/graftonnews).
