Twilight on the Tavern Lawn presents the Stockwell Brothers

PUTNEY — Twilight Music continues its 12th annual Twilight On The Tavern Lawn series of folk, world beat, rock, jazz, zydeco, Celtic, swing, blues, and bluegrass summer concerts on Sunday, Aug. 10, with newgrass and contemporary folk trio, The Stockwell Brothers.

The seven-concert series continues every other Sunday through Aug. 24. Concerts begin at 6 p.m. on the Putney Tavern lawn (bring a lawn chair or blanket). In the event of rain the venue moves to Next Stage, 15 Kimball Hill.

Featuring 2005 Merlefest bluegrass banjo contest winner Bruce Stockwell, The Stockwell Brothers have performed alongside such artists as Bill Monroe, Doc Watson, Earl Scruggs, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Jonathan Edwards and Asleep at the Wheel.

Next in the series is original indie rock quartet, The Snaz, on Sunday, Aug. 24.

The series is sponsored by the Town of Putney, Soundview Paper Company, Next Stage Arts Project, The Stockwell Brothers, and many other Putney businesses and organizations.
