GUILFORD — Can you smell the bacon? Can you hear it sizzle? It's time for the inaugural Brattleboro Baconfest: Bacon, Blues, and Brews. The one-day bacon tasting event is set for Saturday, Sept. 13, from 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Guilford Fairgrounds.
Admission is free.
The day starts at 9 a.m. with a $5 bacon and eggs breakfast prepared by the Marina Restaurant.
More than 20 vendors will serve up bacon-inspired cuisine. Brattleboro's Whetstone Station restaurant and brewery will be on hand to pour craft beer... including a special bacon beer.
The family-friendly Baconfest also features a bacon-cooking contest, a children's drawing contest, and music from the Mark Manley Band.
