Wellness in Windham Health Festival is Sept. 20

Wednesday, September 17, 2014 — Issue 272

BRATTLEBORO — The Wellness in Windham Health Festival is set for Saturday, Sept. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Brattleboro Retreat's front lawn.

Visitors will enjoy health and wellness activities, fitness demonstrations, dancing, prizes, and giveaways.

The festivities are free and sponsored by Brattleboro Memorial Hospital, the Brattleboro Retreat, and Grace Cottage Hospital.

Demonstrations will be offered in pilates, Zumba, yoga, and boot camp. You'll learn about nutrition, mind-body techniques, and area services to help improve daily living.

You can also buy a healthful lunch prepared by Sodexo Foods.

More than 40 organizations will be on hand to share information on local and regional health and wellness services and programs. Fitness and stress management are featured, as are programs for area teens and elders.

Selectboard sees detailed plans for new police, fire facilities
