Winter Farmers' Market opens for 2014-15 season

BRATTLEBORO — The Winter Farmers' Market returns to the Robert H. Gibson River Garden for the ninth season of the longest running diverse indoor farmers' market in southern Vermont.

Fans of the famous outdoor summer farmer's market in West Brattleboro can follow many of their favorite vendors indoors starting Saturday, Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Visitors to the Winter Farmers' Market will find plenty of farms - and more local produce than ever before. Each week the beautiful River Garden is transformed into a warm, welcoming indoor marketplace. You'll find more than 30 vendors, including many returning favorites and new faces.

“We are so thrilled with the success this market has experienced over the past eight years,” said Tim Stevenson, founder of Post Oil Solutions. “More area farmers are planning for this market season using season extension strategies that can even mean fresh local greens deep into the winter.”

The Winter Farmers' Market welcomes EBT and debit cards. EBT customers can turn $10 into $20 each week with Market Match Coupons.

The Winter Farmers' Market, sponsored by Post Oil Solutions, will be open Saturdays through March 28, 2015.
