Vermont Watercolor Society presents exhibit at All Souls Church

WEST BRATTLEBORO — Eight members of the Brattleboro hub of the Vermont Watercolor Society (VWS) will show their work through the end of December in gallery spaces at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Church.

The artists are Carolyn Allbee, Maisie Crowther, Nancy DiMauro, John Dimick, Lynn Hoeft, Marlene Kramer, Molly Martin, and Cath Stockbridge.

The local group meets regularly to plan exhibits and discuss and encourage individual style and mastery of this challenging medium. They also participate in statewide juried shows with other VWS members, who now total 240.

VWS, a nonprofit founded in 1995, says it is dedicated to promoting the awareness and appreciation of watercolor to its membership at all levels of ability and to the community by providing opportunities and venues for participation, education, fellowship, and exhibition.

The Arts Committee at All Souls Church invites the general public to an artists' reception for this show on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 3 to 5 p.m. Stop in to meet the artists, speak with them about their work, and enjoy a bountiful refreshment table. For more information, visit www.vermontwatercolorsociety.com.

All Souls, also known as West Village Meeting House, is at 29 South St., across from the West Brattleboro Fire Station and West Brattleboro Common.

Gallery hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and during worship services and other public events in the building. For more information, call the All Souls office at 802-254-9377.
