Stroll presents Beer, Cider and Cheese Festival at River Garden

BRATTLEBORO — Strolling of the Heifers will present a mid-winter Beer, Cider and Cheese Festival on Friday, Feb. 13, from 5 p.m to 8 p.m at the Robert H. Gibson River Garden on Main Street in Brattleboro.

The event is a fundraiser for Strolling of the Heifers, and takes place in conjunction with the Harris Hill Ski Jump. It features eight craft brewers and 20 cheese makers and specialty food producers from throughout Vermont and New Hampshire.

“As a way to gear up for the Ski Jump, at this festival people will have the opportunity to sample some of Vermont's finest beers and ciders, as well as cheeses and other specialty foods,” said Molly Alderman-Person, the event's coordinator.

Musical entertainment will be provided by the Franz Roberts Trio.

Admission is $20, and only available for people 21 or older. Each admission provides tickets exchangeable for eight two-ounce tasting samples from participating brewers, as well as free samples from cheesemakers and specialty food vendors. All tickets will be sold at the door for cash only.

Additional tickets for beer samples may be purchased. Vendors will be selling brews or food to take home, as well.
