BRATTLEBORO — The Vermont Theatre Company will hold auditions for their May production of Robert Anderson's “I Never Sang For My Father” to be directed by Bob Kramsky on Monday, March 2, at 7 p.m., at the Hooker-Dunham Theater in downtown Brattleboro.
“I Never Sang For My Father” is the powerful drama of a middle-aged man who has to come to terms with his aged parents, an elderly mother whom he loves, and an 80-year-old father whom he never loved, as hard as he has tried.
There are roles for seven men and four women, with ages ranging from 30s to 80s. Auditionees are asked to prepare a monologue from the play and will also be asked to read a scene at the audition.
A copy of the script will be available at Brooks Memorial Library and prospective auditionees can contact the director in advance for a copy of the monologues from the play.
Anyone who is not able to attend auditions on March 2 and would like to arrange for a different audition time should contact the director, Bob Kramsky, at 802-254-4636 or rkramsky@wsesu.org.
