Brattleboro Senior Meals celebrates March for Meals with concert

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Senior Meals joins with the Meals on Wheels Association of America to celebrate “March for Meals.” The month of March mobilizes hundreds of local Meals on Wheels programs across the country to reach out to their communities and build support that will sustain them all year long.

In conjunction with this, Brattleboro Senior Meals will be hosting a fundraiser “Lunch at the Latchis” with the Windham Orchestra on March 26.

The orchestra will be performing “Russian Easter Festival Overture” by Rimsky-Korsakov, “Oboe Concerto in D Major” by Richard Strauss and “Lucifer's Love Song for the Lord” by Etan Nasreddin-Longo, a local composer and the winner of the Shotstakovich Piano Concerto in F Minor Competition.

The doors open at noon and the concert starts at 12:30 p.m.

General admission is $15 for lunch/concert. Seniors admission is $10 for lunch/concert. Tickets can be purchased through Brattleboro Senior Meals, 802-257-1236 or the Brattleboro Music Center, 802-257-4523. Deadline for ticket purchases is March 20.
