BRATTLEBORO — The two-month-old community driven forums focusing on reversing homelessness in town have reached a new phase.
While previous forums have focused on identifying issues and brainstorming solutions, an upcoming forum on Thursday, April 30, will focus on the work currently underway to address and end homelessness in the Brattleboro area and further develop action steps that the community can take.
The forum will take place at The Works Bakery Café, 118 Main St., in Brattleboro from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Organizers say that they hope participants at the upcoming forum will build on the possible solutions to homelessness identified at the last meeting.
On April 30, participants will collaborate with fellow community members who also work in the field. Organizers want to identify, through small group discussions, the next steps to help abate homelessness in town.
“Please come out and keep the energy rolling,” said Morningside Shelter Executive Director Josh Davis.
What started as a handful of concerned people seated around a table at the Works Bakery Café early one March morning has grown into a series of community forums. The last forum, held during Gallery Walk on April 3, drew an estimated crowd of more than 100 people.
All are welcome to participate. Light refreshments will be served.
