BAJC Hebrew School now accepting registrations

BRATTLEBORO — Registration is now open for children who will attend Hebrew School at the Brattleboro Area Jewish Community this fall.

There is Aleph Class for 6-7 year olds, Bet Class for 8-9 year olds, Gimmel Class for 9-10 year olds, and Dalet Class for 11-12 year olds. Hey Class is for children who are 12 and older, have been in Hebrew school for at least one year, and are planning to become a bar or bat mitzvah next year.

Classes will meet from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m.; the b'nai mitzvah class will likely meet from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., although that hasn't been definitively determined.

The first day of school will be Sept. 14, and the school registration forms and deposits are due this month. Financial consideration can be arranged for both tuition and membership, if necessary. Organizers encourage all parents to be involved with the school and to reinforce the children's learning experiences with Jewish practices at home and with frequent attendance at services and other BAJC activities.

Contact BAJC at 802-257-1959 or by email at info@BAJCvermont.org for more information.
