What a wonderful recipe! My wife made it last weekend with bacon fat, sour cream, and some fresh local corn. The contrast between the corn bread and the creamy layer in the middle is refreshing.

The Vermont Jazz Center will present as its annual big band swing gala the music of world-class vibraphonist Terry Gibbs and his Dream Band.
