Atlantic Crossing performs music of New England, Celtic countries at Stone Church Arts

BELLOWS FALLS — Atlantic Crossing will play New England and Celtic traditional music on Saturday, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m., at Immanuel Episcopal Church, the stone church on the hill, 20 Church St.

For nearly two decades, Atlantic Crossing has played traditional songs and acoustic instrumental music from New England - music which has deep Celtic roots in the British Isles and in French and Maritime Canada - together with original compositions inspired by these traditions.

The band adapts the music of the Helen Hartness Flanders Collection of traditional New England songs, and they research, write, and perform material relating to Vermont local history.

Atlantic Crossing have appeared at numerous festivals, concert series, and on public radio. They have toured frequently in the United States and in the UK. They now have five recordings to their name, as well as a compilation of sets of dance tunes available, all on CD.

For additional information on this concert or any of the upcoming Stone Church Arts concerts, visit the website at www.stonechurcharts.org or call 802-460-0110.
