Submissions are sought for Ten Minute Play Festival

The Actors Theatre Playhouse of West Chesterfield, N.H., and Brattleboro is accepting submissions for its Ten Minute Play Festival in June 2017.

Ten-minute plays should play in one scene, have minimal scenic requirements, not exceed 10-12 pages in length and have two to six characters, according to a news release from the Playhouse.

The company is seeking 10-minute plays from the New England region only, with a limit of two submissions per person. All scripts will be accepted only through email at atplay15@gmail.com.

Upon receipt, a return email will confirm your script's delivery.

The deadline for entry of a manuscript is Aug. 31. Six to eight winners and alternates will be announced to all participants by mid-November.

It is with deep regret that ATP cannot offer any financial prizes at this time. The winners will receive production of their play as part of our next Ten-Minute Play Festival and multiple tickets should the authors be able to attend.

The goal of the Festival is to encourage the production of new works from regional writers, while exposing ATP's actors and directors to the techniques and practices of working with playwrights and producing new plays.
