New providers join cardiology, family medicine at BMH

BRATTLEBORO — Brattleboro Memorial Hospital Medical Group Director Dr. Tony Blofson announced three additions to staff.

• Stephen M. Fleet, MD, joins BMH's Center for Cardiovascular Health. Fleet received his B.A. from Columbia College of Columbia University and his M.D. from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. He served his internship and residency at Cleveland Metropolitan General Hospital, as well as a fellowship in Cardiology at Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts.

Fleet is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatric Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and Cardiovascular Computed Tomography.

• At Brattleboro Family Medicine, a member practice of the BMH Medical Group, David McCormack, APRN, has been hired as a Nurse Practitioner. McCormack isn't new to BMH, having been originally hired as an LPN on BMH's Medical/Surgical Unit in 2001.

Since then, McCormack has gone on to earn a BSN in Professional Nursing from the University of Vermont and a Master's of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner focus from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.

• At Putney Family Healthcare, Jeremy Morrison, DO, has joined the staff as a primary care physician. Dr. Morrison received a B.A. in Philosophy from Towson University, then a second B.A. in Biochemistry from Case Western Reserve University.

He graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester. Morrison is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice, the Massachusetts Medical Society, and the American Osteopathic Association.
