BMC Chamber Music Series continues with Chiara Quartet

BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Music Center's Chamber Music Series continues with a performance by the Chiara Quartet - known for playing from memory, without printed sheet music - bringing fresh excitement to traditional string-quartet repertoire and creating insightful interpretations of new music.

The concert is on Friday, Dec. 16, at 7:30 p.m., at the Centre Congregational Church in Brattleboro.

The Chiara Quartet includes violinists Rebecca Fischer and Hye-Yung Julie Yoon, violist Jonah Sirota and cellist Gregory Beaver. They will play a selection of works by Mendelssohn, Jefferson Friedman, and Beethoven, according to a news release.

Among other accolades, the Chiara has been lauded by The Boston Globe for its “highly virtuosic, edge-of-the-seat playing.”
