Simba to usher in winter solstice

BRATTLEBORO — Simba will celebrate the end of the year and the longest night with their annual Winter Solstice Celebration on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at 7 p.m., at 118 Elliot in downtown Brattleboro.

Admission is $10 per person, with a $25 family maximum

Simba is a danceable world beat band featuring funky grooves and some excellent local musicians, including Bob Stabach (sax), Dan DeWalt (trombone, keys, steelpan), Wim Auer (bass), Charlie Schneeweis (trumpet), Derrik Jordan (guitar, percussion, vocals) and special guests.
