What's your experience?

BRATTLEBORO — Editor's note: This story illustrates the lives and livelihoods of four Vermonters who returned to their home. All have reported largely positive experiences in this story, leading us to question: What are the experiences of Vermonters who left, returned, and regret having done so?

"I queried the person I thought of first when I had the original idea for this piece, and he not only declined to be interviewed, but wrote me a poignant e-mail detailing his regrets about coming back - on the verge of bitterness," says Deb Luskin, who reported this story.

So we pose the question to readers who have similarly left Vermont and returned: Do you have experiences to share? Do you think these four vignettes are representative? Send us a letter (e-mail to editor@commonsnews.org), and we will keep the discussion going in the next issue's Voices section.
