Young artists shine at Crowell Gallery

NEWFANE — The Crowell Gallery at the Moore Free Library presents “The Month of the Child,” featuring art from Timson Hill Preschool in Williamsville and NewBrook Elementary School.

The exhibit of mixed media, sculpture, watercolor, and fingerprint design will be on display from April 5 to 28, according to a news release.

An opening reception will be held April 7, from 4 to 5 p.m., at the gallery at 23 West St.

This will be the fourth year the gallery has displayed the work of the area's youngest artists. Kathie Gatto-Gurney, director of Timson Hill Preschool, and Suzanne Paugh, art instructor at NewBrook Elementary, have selected some of the most loved and representative pieces from their enormous collection of work.

The Crowell Gallery is open during the library's operating hours: Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, 1 to 5 p.m.; Thursdays, 2 to 7 p.m.; and Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
