Will your vote be necessary?

BRATTLEBORO — The upcoming vote on the proposed merger of schools in the WSESU correctly indicates that the towns of Putney, Dummerston, Guilford, and Brattleboro are each necessary to individually vote in favor of the merger. A negative vote in one town will defeat the proposal.

If the merger is approved, this will be the last time that that is so! Under a merger system, all educational decisions will be made by an all-powerful central board, there being no need for individual town approval on issues affecting the education of their children.

To maintain our educational system, which has worked so well for our children for over 50 years, you must vote in opposition to this proposal. Will your vote still be necessary after Nov. 7? The answer is up to you.
