Women’s Chorus begins spring season

BRATTLEBORO — The Brattleboro Women's Chorus will begin its spring session soon.

All women and girls age 10 and older are invited to join. New singers are welcome to try the first two rehearsals and see if chorus is right for them.

The spring repertoire will feature Vermont songs - songs about Vermont and ones by Vermont composers and arrangers, including several by Chorus Director Becky Graber.

Some of the songs will be performed by a group from the chorus at the Sister Singers Festival this June in Michigan, where they will sing and connect with more than 20 other women's choruses.

Spring concerts for the main chorus will be Mother's Day weekend, May 12 and 13, though women may sing in chorus for the music and camaraderie without participating in the concerts.

Rehearsals are Wednesday evenings or Thursday mornings, either or both. They begin on Wednesday, Feb. 28, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at All Souls Church and Thursday, March 1, from 10 a.m. to noon at Centre Congregational Church.

Financial aid is available, and there are family and student rates. Visit www.BrattleboroWomensChorus.org or call 802-254-8994 for more information, including how to register.
