GUILFORD — I read your article about the tearing down of Melrose Terrace. I'm wondering if it wouldn't be less expensive to build a concrete barrier along the bank of the Whetstone to prevent flooding.
Those are (or were) beautiful apartments, and between the cost of building them, and the cost of tearing them down, I just think that there must be a cheaper, and more useful, solution.
