Not the familiar sort of yoga

DUMMERSTON — I was shocked by what I have read. I know nothing about the Bhava Yoga studio on Elliot Street - it was only a place I would pass by.

The fact that so many women are making these allegations is deeply troubling. I've only dabbled in yoga a little bit; I've taken a couple classes and have practiced at home. I do know enough about it to know that you should not expect to be injured when you go to a yoga class.

Gentle stretching and breathing exercises are what I associate with the practice - not back injuries and possible cracked ribs!

That this type of exploitation is going on in our community is completely unacceptable, yet it seems to be happening everywhere these days. Thank you for this great piece of investigative reporting.
