Mrowicki an effective advocate for his district

DUMMERSTON — I encourage the residents of Dummerston, Putney, and Westminster to vote for Mike Mrowicki for state representative in the primary on Aug. 14 and in the general election on Nov. 6.

I got to know Mike in 2013 and 2014 when I was volunteering for GunSense VT. At the time, Mike was one of the few legislators to be openly in favor of common-sense laws to keep guns out of the wrong hands. Mike stood up to the powerful gun lobby, not because it was popular, but because it was the right thing to do.

As a member of the Human Services Committee, Mike has been an effective supporter of children and families. His advocacy on this committee culminated in the passage of Act 204, which recognizes and addresses the effects of childhood trauma.

Mike has also supported efforts to accomplish the goals of Act 46 while protecting local control of our schools and school boards.

Mike has been an effective advocate for our towns for the past 12 years. Please vote to return him to the Statehouse. Now, more than ever, we need his wisdom and experience in Montpelier.
