BRATTLEBORO — We thank everyone who helped make Vermont Theatre Company's recent amazing production of Macbeth a wonderful success. It was the perfect way to mark VTC's 30th Shakespeare in the Park and to celebrate the end of its 35th season.
We know that community theater is at its best when driven by community members with a strong desire to do the hard work it takes to create a show, bring it to life, and delight audiences.
We were fortunate to have had such a crew with the production of Macbeth: a cast of 23 talented, hard-working actors, many volunteers, and more than 500 audience members who saw the play, cheered the cast on, and applauded generously after (almost) every scene, making the five months of hard work worth the effort.
We also are grateful to other members of our community who contributed time, materials, and funding to make the show possible and to them we say thank you as well.
So we thank one and all for contributing to the success of VTC's 2018-19 season and we look forward to seeing you during our 2019-20 season, which begins this coming November with Bell, Book, and Candle by John Van Druten, and directed by Robert Wellington.
And finally, it is with gratitude and deep affection, the Vermont Theatre Company dedicated its 30th annual Shakespeare in the Park to the talented and dearly missed Bill Wieliczka.
