WSESD Annual Meeting set for March 17

After Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford, and Putney residents elect district officers, time to set 2020—21 district school budget

BRATTLEBORO — The Windham Southeast School District (WSESD) will hold its Annual Meeting on Tuesday, March 17, at 7 p.m., in the gymnasium at Brattleboro Union High School, 131 Fairground Rd.

Child care will be provided.

Warned items for the meeting include election of district officers and a vote to approve the $51,171,300 district school budget for 2020-21.

You can vote only if you are present on the floor of the Annual Meeting.

To take advantage of child care, email WSESD Board Chair Kristina Naylor at kristinan@dummerston.org so the board can ensure there are enough providers present.

WSESD election results

In the final results of the March 3 WSESD school director election, Emily Murphy Kaur retained her three-year seat as the Brattleboro representative, receiving 2,429 votes to Kimberly Price's 1,619 votes.

The three-year Putney seat went to Liz Adams, who received 2,186 votes to Tara Davis Castine's 1,428.

Running unopposed for the remaining seats:

• Michelle Luetjen Green, who won the three-year Dummerston seat with 3,508 votes;

• Jaci Joanne Reynolds, who won the two-year Brattleboro seat with 3,739 votes;

• Incumbent Thomas Nolan, who won the two-year Dummerston seat with 3,501 votes;

• Timothy Maciel, who won the one-year Brattleboro seat with 3,706 votes.
