GUILFORD — Friends of Music at Guilford (FOMAG) says it “regretfully” announces the cancellation of its annual Messiah Sing and Christmas at Christ Church concerts, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It would have marked the event's 50th anniversary.
FOMAG President Jenifer Ambler says the board and performers hope to be able to resume both holiday traditions in 2021, as well as FOMAG's other annual events, once it is safe to gather and enjoy music together again.
FOMAG's archive of recordings - audio, with some video - of these events goes back for many years, and selections will be made available on the organization's Facebook page, facebook.com/FriendsOfMusicAtGuilford, along with photographs and other memorabilia.
