BRATTLEBORO — Taxes for Peace New England (TPNE), a group of Vermont and western Massachusetts war-tax resisters and their allies, has recently formed.
The group says that, in addition to providing “education about the use of tax dollars to fund violence and how people can resist that misuse of funds, TPNE is eager to build solidarity with other peace and justice movements.”
In a news release, the organization described tax resistance as “a useful tool for individuals and groups looking to live more aligned with their values while creating a more peaceful and just world for all.”
TPNE welcomes all who are interested to fill out a brief form at bit.ly/630-war-tax.
