Planned Parenthood protests deserve a vigorous response

BROOKLINE — Big thumbs up to the two letter writers [Voices, Nov. 10] decrying the young picketers from Thomas Aquinas College who have been clogging up the sidewalks on Tuesdays in the vicinity of the Planned Parenthood clinic on High Street in Brattleboro.

It's despicable that these so-called Christians feel duty-bound to harass and shame people trying to access the vital services offered at this facility - which, by the way, do not include abortion.

We would urge, as the prior writers did, a vigorous response, which could take any of several forms:

1) Showing up on the street in a counter-protest (politely)

2) Sending a donation to Planned Parenthood of Northern New England in honor of Thomas Aquinas College

3) Writing to Dean Thomas J. Kaiser at the college (tkaiser@thomasaquinas.edu) letting him know that his young charges are not saving any unborn babies, and are, in fact, galvanizing support for Planned Parenthood.
