BRATTLEBORO — The United Way of Windham County has begun its Kids in Coats campaign, and the organization reports being one quarter of the way toward its goal of raising $15,000.
Kids in Coats serves income-eligible families with children from birth to sixth grade to help them obtain essential winter gear. Families who would not be able to access these warm clothes turn to the fund each year for assistance.
According to the United Way, 100% of the donations to Kids in Coats go directly to the school supervisory unions in Windham County, which help with distribution of the funds.
