Balint should work to make her call for ceasefire a reality

Rep. Becca Balint has rightly called for a ceasefire in Gaza. Now it's time to make that call a reality. She should use her position as Vermont's sole member in the U.S. House of Representatives to pledge to vote no on any further funding for Israel's military in the absence of a ceasefire.

Israel's military is escalating its bombing of Rafah, where more than 1.4 million displaced Palestinian people are seeking refuge. The United Nations is warning of mass atrocities if the offensive is not stopped.

The U.S. must use its leverage to stop the violence - and Rep. Balint, hers.
