First Congregational hosts 67th annual Christmas Bazaar
WEST BRATTLEBORO - First Congregational Church, 880 Western Ave., presents its 67th annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 30, from 9 a.m to 2 p.m.
The Bazaar features two floors of handmade balsam wreaths, tree ornaments, berry bowls, knitwear, baked goods, and sweet treats, along with their traditional lunch of corn chowder, hot dogs, and assorted desserts.
Holiday Craft Fair at Centre Church
BRATTLEBORO - Centre Congregational Church, 193 Main St., presents its Holiday Craft Fair on Friday, Dec. 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
There will be plenty of delicious food, with homemade soups on Friday night, Belgian waffles on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and a light lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Crafts and gifts available on both days include wreaths, Bonnie's Jewelry, chocolates, a quilt raffle, SERRV items (fair-trade gifts from around the world), books by Lynne Kennedy, a Cookie Walk, Earth Sky + Water cards and stickers, and much more.
Cotton Mill Open Studio and Holiday Sale
BRATTLEBORO - The annual Cotton Mill Open Studio and Holiday Sale will be on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Come enjoy the offerings of these small local businesses and share in the joy of the season.
The Vermont Jazz Center will be providing musical performances throughout this festive event. Located at 74 Cotton Mill Hill; parking at the Cotton Mill is free.
Holiday Bazaar at All Souls Church
WEST BRATTLEBORO - The annual All Souls Unitarian Universalist Holiday Bazaar will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the West Village Meeting House, 29 South St.
The Bazaar will feature handmade and decorated wreaths and ornaments, as well as traditional holiday baked goods - including gluten-free - and other edibles, such as jams, jellies, handmade chocolates, and baking mixes. Also planned is a gift emporium, featuring handcrafted items and a raffle of gift baskets.
The Bazaar will include an Art Gift Sale, with paintings, photographs, and etchings by local artists, all reasonably priced for unique holiday gift-giving. Calendars and greeting cards featuring these artists' works will also be available. Find out more at ascvt.org.
Winter Craft Market in Guilford
GUILFORD - The Broad Brook Community Center, 3940 Guilford Center Rd., hosts its annual Winter Craft Market on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
This year's market will feature a wide range of local artisans offering holiday gifts, handmade ornaments, and one-of-a-kind crafts. In addition to shopping, the event will include gingerbread-house making and other crafts, for both children and adults to enjoy the festive spirit.

Holiday craft fair in Wardsboro
WARDSBORO - On Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., there will be a holiday craft fair at the Wardsboro Town Hall. They will have 12 local vendors with handmade items including jams and jellies, Maybelle Farms woolen items, plants, jewelry, potholders, aprons, plants, photography, baked goods, handmade wreaths by Boy Scout Troop 428, and many more items.
Santa will be arriving down the street at the Wardsboro Library at noon. Visitors may stop by to browse before or after seeing Santa, do some holiday shopping, and enter the raffle to win a breakfast basket or other great items donated by the fair's vendors. The drawing will be at the end of the day.
WWHT hosts Gingerbread Homebuilding Event
BRATTLEBORO - Windham & Windsor Housing Trust will host "Home Sweet Home," a free Gingerbread Homebuilding event, on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Holton Hall on the Winston Prouty campus.
The public is invited for a creative afternoon building sweet homes during the holiday season. Each builder will be provided with all the elements to create and decorate a modest home, as well as additional materials to allow for creative building opportunities. Completed homes will be sited within a sweet neighborhood, designed to illustrate an example of a smart-growth land use pattern. Participants will be encouraged to take their creations home with them.
Admission is free, but donations are welcome and appreciated, with all proceeds going toward the creation and stewardship of permanently affordable homes in southeastern Vermont.
RFPL hosts community holiday party
BELLOWS FALLS - The Friends of the Rockingham Free Public Library extend an invitation to the community for their annual Holiday Party at the library on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
There will be snacks, holiday drinks, and raffle prizes. Music will be provided by Holiday Party favorites, the Stringfield Springers, to keep toes tapping.
Santa comes to Newfane on Dec. 7
NEWFANE - Santa will be arriving at the Newbrook Firehouse on Saturday, Dec. 7, at 2:30 p.m. for Caleb's Cherubs third annual Visit with Santa. The event opens at 1:30 p.m. with Christmas crafts, stuffed animals, reading books, stockings, food, hot chocolate, spiced apple cider, popcorn, pictures, a raffle, and a winter clothes closet.
This is a free event, but they ask that children be registered, with their age included, at calebscherubsvt@gmail.com.
Christmas Bazaar in Westminster
WESTMINSTER - The First Congregational Church of Westminster Women's Fellowship, 3470 Route 5, will hold their annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be locally made gifts, holiday crafts, homemade treats, and useful attic treasures items. Buy a raffle ticket for the chance raffle, with many beautiful items to choose from.
The Christmas Café will be open for lunch and the treat table will sell a variety of baked goods. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Santa will be on hand for pictures. Also there will be a kids' craft table to engage children while adults shop or order lunch.
Windham Philharmonic presents a holiday concert
BRATTLEBORO - On Monday, Dec. 9, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Latchis Theatre, the Windham Philharmonic, under the direction of Hugh Keelan, presents "Beethoven in December-with Holiday Treats."
Beethoven's Symphony No. 8 is the centerpiece of the program; holiday treats include Victor Herbert's "Babes in Toyland,", Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," and excerpts from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker. Admission is by donation, and baked goods will be available for purchase.
Gingerbread house decorating party in Dummerston
DUMMERSTON - The Dummerston Community Center, 150 West St., will hold its annual Gingerbread House Decorating Party on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Come spend the afternoon with friends and family enjoying holiday music, snacks, and decorating gingerbread houses to their hearts' content. Houses cost $20 each and must be reserved by Thursday, Dec. 12.
