Evans-Frantz: informed, pragmatic, and community-driven

GUILFORD-I met Isaac Evans-Frantz last summer while working at the Governor's Institutes of Vermont in Montpelier. Isaac was on the faculty of the Global Issues and Youth Action Institute, and we were paired up as teaching partners.

Spending time planning and discussing issues with Isaac became a nightly routine, and a friendship blossomed. I watched him approach a classroom of high school students from all over Vermont with respect, curiosity, and great passion for the subject matter.

Isaac brought his long experience as director of Action Corps, an organization that has tirelessly worked toward humanitarian-driven U.S. foreign policy, into the classroom and helped students see how they could be part of the processes that impact their lives and the lives of so many around the world.

I watched him make space for and listen to students' stories and hopes, and turn these moments into sparks of action for the present and the future. During this course, students learned about the laws that can be used to hold their delegates accountable to U.S. law and their constituents' voices.

This is the work Isaac does daily, working to ensure a more just and humane U.S. foreign policy.

Isaac is a resident of downtown Brattleboro, visibly working to improve conditions for his neighbors. His vision for the town is informed, pragmatic, and community-driven.

His commitment to understanding the issues facing residents and fighting for their safety and prosperity make him a candidate I would wholeheartedly support for Brattleboro Selectboard.
