Brattleboro Savings & Loan celebrates Financial Literacy Month

BRATTLEBORO-Brattleboro Savings & Loan is celebrating the 22nd annual National Financial Literacy Month during April. Recognizing the importance of financial education in empowering individuals and families, BS&L will provide essential financial tools and resources through free evening seminars this month.

"Financial literacy is the foundation of a secure future, enabling individuals to navigate life's transitions with clarity and understanding," Deb Stephenson, president and CEO of BS&L, said in a news release.

The sessions will cover a range of important topics, including estate planning, retirement planning, home buying, and avoiding fraud.

Brattleboro ‘Goes Fourth’ with a celebration of community — and dissent

BRATTLEBORO-The annual Brattleboro Goes Fourth! parade on July 4 featured plenty of vehicles from all the town departments, not many politicians, and lots of protesters. Perennial participants included bands from the local American Legion and Brattleboro Union High School, and various veterans, civic, and youth groups.
