BRATTLEBORO-Vermont Adult Learning (VAL) is pleased to announce the recent relocation of its Windham County Learning Center to 113 Technology Drive.
After five years on Putney Road, this move will allow VAL's Windham County team to expand services and accommodate the growing number of students seeking educational and career advancement opportunities.
The new office is conveniently located near Hannaford Supermarket and accessible via the Moover bus line.
Key features of the new location are ground-level accessibility and a dedicated computer lab supporting instruction in essential digital literacy skills for all students. This enhancement underscores VAL's commitment to meeting the evolving needs of the region's diverse and vibrant community.
"With more classrooms and a new computer lab, we are now able to open more classes and welcome more learners to VAL," said Matthew Bentley, VAL's Regional Director for Windham County.
Available programs at the new location include Digital Literacy; high school completion pathways, including an Adult Diploma Program (ADP) and General Education Development (GED); more workforce development opportunities, including Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preparation and Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) training; and comprehensive English Language Learner (ELL) instruction.
Vermont Adult Learning's programs and services are free to individuals 16 years and older and provide pathways that can lead to better jobs and further education for Vermonters from all walks of life.
