SAXTONS RIVER-Following is an open letter to President Trump.
Your Majesty,
I use this term only to remind myself that despite the clear role modifications noted by so many of your followers you have been freely chosen to represent the voting American public as you see fit.
Your tenure has been amazing. In the mere seven months since you took office our lives have been radically altered, largely by reducing or eliminating services.
Huge numbers of federal employees have been dismissed, especially in the state and intelligence departments, funding has been severely reduced in health, environmental safety and weather forecasts, public education, and scientific research.
Crackdowns have been enforced on public rallies that you regard to be inimical to your agenda, and legal migrants have been forcibly and promptly deported, often to locations other than their places of birth, avoiding the cumbersome delays caused by hearings.
Public broadcasting has been entirely defunded, while tax exemptions for the most successful Americans have been increased.
Free medical services been denied to the undeserving, largely the needy poor, who claim, through their own incapacities, to have more needs than are believable.
I could go on and on, as I have hardly touched the tip of the massive iceberg that has subsumed our society, correcting the mistaken extravagances of past administrations and legislators.
Luckily for your agenda, the Supreme Court, so wisely restored to sanity by the three justices appointed in your first term, has largely either backed you up or passed the buck down to lower federal courts.
It was to be expected that many bad people, leftists who have been misled by "woke" philosophies, have objected, but nothing has discouraged you.
In your fortitude of character, you have called them out for what they are - destroyers of our country's intrinsic greatness and blasphemers against the idea that great men, almost always white and at least nominally Christian, must be allowed to pursue their missions unimpeded by apologists and rabble rousers.
Keep up the good work! Oh, I must note a recent medical report stating that the circulation in one of your legs isn't permitting the appropriate return of blood to the heart.
That may explain why so many claim your heart to be deficient, but I believe otherwise.
Clearly, your heart is supplying your brain with the capacity to generate a continual stream of profound and realistic ideas, and your leg will just have to adapt to whatever blood flow is left over from your extraordinary level of cerebral activity.
Your admirer,
Helen Neswald
