PUTNEY-Twilight Music and Next Stage Arts Project conclude the 22nd Twilight On The Tavern Lawn series on Sunday, Aug. 24, with The Faux Paws.
The Faux Paws band members have deep ties to bluegrass, old-time, Celtic, folk, Americana, jazz, and singer-songwriter traditions and blend their elements to serve whatever musical idea is being presented.
"They're dynamic, exciting, sincere, irreverent, infectious, and surprising," wrote organizers in a news release. "They move deftly between moods, influences, and instruments, featuring fiddle, mandolin, guitar, saxophone, personal lyrics, three-part brother harmonies, playful interplay, intricately arranged details, soaring improvisations, and a 'groove' that pulses through the music like a heartbeat."
The series is sponsored by Next Stage, the town of Putney, Rod's Towing & Repair, Green Mountain Well, Bee community engagement app, and many Putney area businesses and organizations.
The concert begins at 6 p.m. on the Putney Tavern lawn (bring a lawn chair or blanket) or at Next Stage, 15 Kimball Hill, in case of rain. Concerts are free to the public (donations are accepted) and food is available. For more information, call 802-387-5772 or visit nextstagearts.org.
