BELLOWS FALLS-Join the Bellows Falls Downtown Development Alliance (BFDDA) for the first-ever "Bellows Falls Book Crawl" Saturday, Sept. 27, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
All day is BYOB (Bring Your Own Book, or Bookmark, or Bookbag) to the cafes and bars to hang out with authors and readers alike.
Participants will find coffee and cocktails, read-ins, a writing workshop, and other author events, booksignings, a bookmaking class, an open studio, and literary-inspired window and store displays.
Books will also be featured, of course, including (but not limited to) historic books, rare books, hard-to-find books, new editions, and old editions. Each participating business is selling raffle tickets to win one of two book gift baskets.
Passports may be picked up at the Rockingham Free Public Library from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., or at all participating businesses in Bellows Falls: Arch Bridge Bookshop, Arch Bridge Annex, Little Art Supply Store, Village Square Booksellers, Brighton Press, Bellows Beats music shop, Bellows Falls Historical Society, Windham Antique Center, Clutter's Last Stand, Rockingham Roasters, Flat Iron Cooperative coffee shop, Moon Dog Cafe, Kokopelli's gift shop, Holistic Gateway health services and supplements, Seams Sew Together fabric and notions, Donovan's bar and grill, Wild Goose Players theater company, PK's Irish Pub, and Ciao Popolo restaurant.
