BELLOWS FALLS-Dr. Taronté Venable will perform his original, intimate cabaret at the Flat Iron Cooperative Café in downtown Bellows Falls Saturday, Nov. 1, from 2 to 4 p.m.
Venable is a chiropractic neurologist - and the new owner of Temple Chiropractic - who also happens to be a performer.
He shares his stories and experiences as a Black American, combined with songs from various genres - including an original song. This show debuted at Madame Sherri's in Keene, New Hampshire, to enthusiastic audiences.
Venable is a former singer and soloist with New York City's Stonewall Chorale and has long participated in choral groups. He recently committed himself to becoming a solo artist, writing his own material and choosing complementary songs from a range of other artists. This cabaret is the first in a series. He says he is hard at work preparing his next one, Cultivating Happiness.
