November is Dinovember at Putney Library

PUTNEY-November is "Dinovember" at the Putney Public Library, a month when children and adults celebrate all things dinosaur! The library is offering drop-in activities and scheduled programs throughout the month.

• Make your very own salt dough dinosaur fossil to take home Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the library. All ages welcome. No registration is necessary.

• A "T-Rex Tea Party" will be held Saturday, Nov. 15, at 10 a.m., hosted at Next Stage Arts, 15 Kimball Hill. Learn tea party etiquette, nibble dino snacks, make T-Rex crafts, and listen to dinosaur stories told by a special guest. Proper attire, including fanciest or dinosaur-iest, is encouraged. Please register all children in attendance at putneylibrary.org.

• Stop in to vote for Putney's Favorite Dinosaur in the library's fifth annual "Dinovember Madness" matchup. Ankylosaurus, the 2024 favorite, will be reigning over this year's contest. Who will be Putney's favorite dinosaur in 2025?

For the library's drop-in craft of the month in the Children's Room, kids are invited to make a collage cityscape with a Jurassic twist.

The Putney Public Library is at 55 Main St., and is open Monday through Friday, 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. All programs are free. For more information on all these events, visit putneylibrary.org or call 802-387-4407.
