BRATTLEBORO-Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) will host the first session of the Windham County Leadership series on Monday, Dec. 22.
The event, which includes lunch, will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Brattleboro Retreat Education Conference Center, at 1 Anna Marsh Lane. Parking is available on-site and signs guide the way to the meeting location. Register at tinyurl.com/2vj9ehad.
The program will feature Kevin Chu, executive director of the Vermont Futures Project, a nonpartisan organization answering the mission question: "How can we use data to support the evolution of Vermont's economy towards a thriving future with opportunity for all?"
The session, called "Vermont's Futures: Numbers, Narrative, and What Comes Next," will focus on new research and insights that organizers say will help frame the economic landscape in a way that helps organizations, communities, and long-range planning.
Chu will guide a conversation about forces shaping Vermont's economic landscape and what Vermont's latest workforce, housing, and demographic indicators mean for the region today. He will highlight current data, surface emerging trends, and create space for direct, useful conversations about where strategic opportunities are emerging.
According to BDCC, the Windham Leadership Series "brings together leaders from across the region who want access to timely information and clear data for meaningful cross-sector discussion about the forces moving our economy. Each session features a speaker who's achieving results, someone with practical experience, strong data, or insights that help us see new possibilities for Windham County."
