GREENFIELD, MASS.-For anyone interested in Hitler, drug use, and the Nazi party, I strongly recommend reading the book Blitzed: Drugs in Nazi Germany, by Norman Ohler.
The book details Hitler's attack on drug use among the general population - many who were in a state of depression and PTSD due to losing World War I - during the beginning of his rise.
At that time, Germany became a pharmaceutical powerhouse, creating cocaine, opiates, and methamphetamines, wonder drugs for a depressed and broken society. Much of the adult population became addicted to the readily available "miracle drugs."
Hitler saw this as an opportunity. By declaring opiates illegal, his regime now had further reason to terrorize Jews, gays, immigrants, dissidents, and anyone with different skin color. He attacked them, rounded them up, and placed them in concentration camps.
He made a huge drug policy shift and put huge sums of money into opiate and crystal meth stimulant production for the military. Vast pharmaceutical plants began making stimulant drugs in enormous quantities for the army. These drugs were now legal only within the military.
By this time, a full-time doctor at Hitler's side reportedly injected him with a mixture of cocaine, heroin, crystal meth, and other various cocktails four to five times a day.
When Hitler would deliver his long, fueled speeches, he was in a state of godlike euphoria. It is well-documented that the gestapo and Hitler's army were given vast quantities of crystal meth to sustain their blitzkrieg on Jews and anyone who did not submit. That is how they were able to murder and plunder for days due to the speed.
Eventually this resulted in the demise of the German army as they fell ill and froze due to addiction, starvation, and poor support.
Fast-forward to 2016 when Donald Trump was debating Hillary Clinton. His sniffling and erratic behavior clearly suggested cocaine use.
Could our president also be addicted to various drugs that fuel his energy and rage? Rolling Stone reported rampant drug use and easy access for White House staffers to stimulants and sedatives in the current administration, through the White House Medical Unit.
One also wonders about his supporters who stormed the capital, or the current Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents who appear to be on their own blitzkrieg: murdering, assaulting, and terrorizing all of us. We have more than 100 "detention" centers in the U.S., arresting and holding people with no legal support or due process.
Is this mob of fascists also fueled with stimulants? Take a look at the photos of Trump's hands. The back of both hands are seriously damaged and bruised. Could our president also be addicted to mind-altering drugs? Is this not the regime that takes pride in blowing up boats they suspect have drugs, with no due process or law, but then also pardons known drug lords and politicians? Control the drugs, control the people? Apparently, they have a good stash.
The press secretary said Trump's condition was from "too much handshaking." What? On both hands? The wool is beginning to hurt my eyes! Help!
It's time we abolished blitzkriegs and all that they stand for. The times they are a-changin'. Let's bring on the real democracy that stands up for all.
