BRATTLEBORO-Randy Blodgett is ready to serve our town with experience, preparation, and steady leadership.
Running a business is not new to Randy. He understands firsthand what it takes to manage budgets, meet payroll, assess risk, and make tough decisions responsibly. His years of business experience are exactly why the town manager selected him to serve as economic development consultant — recognizing his strategic thinking and commitment to strengthening our local economy.
For the past two years, Randy has attended and actively participated in every Selectboard meeting. He understands the issues, the history behind them, and the financial realities we face. He won’t need time to get up to speed — he can contribute effectively from day one. His remarkable attention to detail and ability to recall past discussions ensure continuity and accountability in decision-making.
Equally important, Randy is approachable and committed to building consensus across the spectrum. He listens carefully, respects differing viewpoints, and works toward practical solutions that benefit the entire community.
He also brings forward-thinking ideas — such as developing anchor hotels at Exits 1 and 3 to draw travelers off I-91 and into our local economy — expanding the tax base and supporting local businesses.
Randy combines experience, intelligence, collaboration, and vision. Our town will benefit from his leadership.
