Sargent: Guilford candidate does her research

GUILFORD-I am so glad that Tammy Sargent is running to serve on the Selectboard in Guilford. She is a very civic-minded citizen and has worked tirelessly to become familiar with the workings of our town. She has spent many hours poring over the books on her own time.

She has regularly attended Selectboard meetings for all the years that I have known her. When she speaks she knows what she's talking about. She doesn't talk without having done her research.

Tammy and her husband are self-employed, so they know what's needed to balance the books. She has a good head on her shoulders and has a great deal of empathy for the households in town with varying economic needs.

She gives careful scrutiny to the issues that come before town government and can be relied upon to think through the issues and make sensible decisions that will be in line with the greater good, not just a select group.

Tammy listens to what others have to say, giving heed to all viewpoints; she will then make her own decision. Tammy is not self-willed but is strong and won't be wrongly influenced.

I will definitely be voting for Tammy on March 3 and urge you to do the same.
