Craft Beer & Chili Stroll set for March 27

WILMINGTON-The Southern Vermont Deerfield Valley Chamber of Commerce will host its annual “Vermont Craft Beer & Chili Stroll” Friday, March 27, from 4 to 7 p.m. in downtown Wilmington. The event couples Vermont craft beers with chili created by some of the best chefs in the area.

Tasting stations will be located at Ratu’s Liquor & Market, Pickwell’s Barn, Mill & Whistle, The Village Roost, Memorial Hall, Alpenglow Bistro, The Vermont House, Incurable Romantic, and Bartleby’s Books, with musical performances by Unqualified and Midnight Betty.

The Chili Contest challenges chefs throughout Deerfield Valley to create their most crowd-pleasing creations. This year’s chili contestants come from more than 12 area businesses and eateries. Attendees will vote to select the winner, who will be announced immediately on the Chamber’s social media accounts.

The stroll will include beers from Vermont brewers, including Valley Craft Ales and Snow Republic Brewing. Vermont Distillers will be pouring their local Metcalfe’s liquors.

Registration opens at 3 p.m. at the Chamber visitor center, 21 West Main St., Wilmington. Tickets can be purchased at visitvermont.com.
